Agra is a city in Uttar Pradesh of India. It is situated on the banks of the river Yamuna. It is 206 kilometers away from New Delhi. The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is an ancient wonder of the world.  It was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal when she died. It is a symbol of pure love and care by the husband.  It is as beautiful as Mumtaz Mahal was. It took 22 years to get built.

Red Fort

 The other name of Red Fort in Agra Fort.  It was made by Akbar in 1565.  It has Moti Masjid, Deewan-e-Khaas, Taj Mahal, Deewan-e-Aam, Jahangir Palace, Sheesh Mahal, and Khas Mahal.  It was built in 8 years.  It is the biggest monument in Agra.

Fatehpur Sikri

 It was built by Akbar when he wanted to shift the capital to Fatehpur Sikri. It was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585.  The remaining structures inside it.  Buland Darwaza is the most important one. It is interesting to know no that ‘Sikri’ was the name of the village in which Akbar's son Jahangir was born.

Secundera

 It is The Emperor's tomb.  It is a very huge and vast structure. It is a great work of architecture.  It is spread across 119 acres of land. There are four minarets off white marble.  Each minaret looks similar to Chatri topped.

Itmad Ud daulah

It was built by the wife of Jahangir, Noor  Jahan.  Noor Jahan built it for her late father Mirza Ghiyas Bagh. Itmad Ud daulah was the title given to her father.  The meaning of Itmad-ud-Daula is ‘pillar of the state’. 

Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid mosque which is dedicated to the daughter of Shah Jahan, princess Jahanara Begum is dedicated to  There is a special prayer known as ‘Jumuah’  that takes place on Friday afternoons. Special prayers of Eid are also practice sometimes.

Chini ka Rauza

Chini ka Rauza is a dome.  It is made up of blue tiles.  Blue tied are generally not available in India.  They were imported from China.  This promise full of artwork and then there are various colors on it.  It is dedicated to Allama Afzal Khan, who was the prime minister of the court of Shah Jahan.

Gurudwara Shri Guru ka Taal Sahib

It is one of the magnificent pieces of architecture and one of the most respected community.  It was during the reign of Aurangzeb in front of home Guru Teg Bahadur give up to Aurangzeb’s office arrest.

Sur Sarovar

It is a wildlife sanctuary.  The area that it covers is around 15 crores of land.  This tourist spot is full of natural beauty. There are migratory birds and small animals in Sun Sarovar.
