Way back in the early fifteen hundreds there was a revolt first by the knights then the peasants. As the next sixty years passed the wars continued until 1555 when the peace decree was signed at Augsburg. For the next sixty-five years things remained peaceful until there was a major revolt in Prague. This marked the beginning of a bloody civil war called the thirty-year war. By 1648 the two sides had nearly bled themselves dry, the bloodshed was massive and the two sides finally ended the war with a Peace accord signed at Westphalia. World War I would end with a bitter signing of the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty would remain in the minds of the Germans and help the rise of the Nazi party. In 1933 Hitler came to power and was made the Reich Chancellor. In the next six years Hitler stirred the negative emotions of the German people reminding them of their defeat in World War I.
