In today’s market the quantity and variety of beauty salon supplies available can be overwhelming. Take, for instance, the barber pole, a symbol that has been representing the profession for centuries. A barber pole can mean instant recognition for a potential client. It is an important investment. There are many styles, sizes, and choices to be made. Most are exterior mounted and project from the wall, for greater visibility. However, they are available mounted on stands for interior use such as in a window sill, for instance. Most barber poles are lighted and revolve, for that classic look; some even have a second lamp mounted on top. Another important investment in beauty salon supplies is the sanitizing system. The most commonly used and most economical is the sanitizing jar. Many come with lift assemblies made of surgical quality stainless steel, in order to remove the disinfected implements more readily and neatly. Some are made of heat resistant materials and have ergonomically shaped knobs on the lid, for ease of use. They can be purchased with a non-slip rubber base and in many different sizes depending on your needs. This method of sanitizing is effective, and it requires a supply of disinfecting liquid which must be changed regularly. An alternative is the sanitizing unit which requires germicidal bulbs. This method can be more expensive initially, and requiring electricity to operate but, it can be more time efficient, not requiring regular maintenance.
Barber chairs are a very important investment in beauty salon supplies that every salon has to make. Ease of operation and access are important factors to consider when purchasing a new barber chair and the upholstery must be easy to clean. Most have a hydraulic base for height adjustments and many have reclining mechanisms, to get your client in just the right position. Arm and footrests are common accessories and often removable head rests are also provided for easy access. A little research goes a long way in finding the right beauty salon supplies for any application.
